A Saudi industrial and trade delegation will visit Iraq on Tuesday to discuss industrial and commercial relations and increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.
A source in the Ministry of Industry for "Economy News" that "an industrial and trade delegation will visit the capital Baghdad today, indicating that the delegation will be chaired by Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Engineer Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh."
He pointed out that "the Iraqi-Saudi talks will be held tomorrow to develop economic and industrial relations between the two countries, especially in the areas of energy will be discussed while increasing the volume of trade and industrial exchange between the two countries."
The Saudi delegation will meet with a number of Iraqi businessmen in different sectors.
This visit is an additional step in the accelerated steps of the Saudi-Saudi rapprochement as it indicates a Saudi desire to enter the Iraqi market to change its image first and take advantage of the positive atmosphere that prevails now the relationship between the parties.
On 21 June, Iraq welcomed the Minister of Industry and Agency Mohamed Shiaa Sudanese to open the field in its markets for Saudi manufacturing industries, medium and light, especially food and pharmaceutical industries, while allowing the Saudi exports needed by the Iraqi market, which are characterized by quality and competitive prices.
