The Arab Banking Conference of 2019, organized by the Union of Arab Banks under the theme of "Economic Reforms and Governance"
The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Higher Institute of Business (Esa) in cooperation with the Institute. During the meeting, they discussed the role of public-private partnership in the development of Arab economies, financing reconstruction and sustainable development
At the end of the session, the final communiqué, which was reached by the Conference on the agenda items, will be followed
The three-day conference was attended by banking and economic figures represented by government and private banks in Arab countries, including the delegation of the Association of Iraqi Private Banks, headed by Ali Tarek. As well as representatives of the Iraqi government banks, including Rafidain Bank and the Commercial Bank of Iraq
The three days of the conference witnessed the opening of an exhibition for the participating banks and the honoring of the Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salamah
The conference discussed a number of important topics, including the challenges of economic reforms in Arab countries, the reasons for the failure of economic reform projects, the reconsideration of Arab financial policies and the importance of sound management of public debt in Arab countries.
