The governor of Kirkuk, Rakan Saeed al-Jubouri, announced the allocation of the Cabinet of 10 billion dinars to secure the requirements of operating the Kirkuk Airport civil project.
Jubouri said in a press statement, on Thursday, that "work is continuing to prepare the requirements of operation of the airport. It is hoped to visit a specialized technical committee of the Civil Aviation Authority after Eid al-Adha. "
He added that "our recent visit to Baghdad was during the meeting with the Civil Aviation Authority and air conditions and airport security for the purpose of speeding up the opening of offices and equip the Kirkuk airport with navigational devices."
The governor pointed out that "the Prime Minister Haider Abadi agreed to allocate 10 billion dinars for the project of Kirkuk airport, will be working on the speed of securing access to complete the requirements required according to statements prepared by the municipal departments, water, roads and electricity."
