Kurdish Change Movement demanded on Saturday the outgoing president of the region Massoud Barzani to step down from office and to dismiss the current government, stressing the need to form a national salvation government that oversees the organization of fair elections.
"The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has a great administrative and legal corruption and can not manage the region," Mahmoud Wahab said in an interview with Mawazin News. "The movement of change warned of the referendum and the results that will result from it.
"We call for the resignation of Massoud Barzani and the dismissal of the current government and the formation of a national rescue government to oversee the organization of fair elections."
"We must negotiate with the government of Baghdad on outstanding issues such as Article 140 and the issue of budget and joint administration and the Federal Council." He pointed out that "these problems can not be solved except with the existence of a national rescue government within the region."
"There is an agreement between the Change, Jemaah Islamiah and other academic figures on the idea of a rescue government," he said
