Dr. Basheer Al Haddad, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, chaired the meeting of the Finance Committee on Thursday 10/1/2019, in the presence of the Chairman and members of the Committee, and the President of Martyrs Foundation Ms. Najah Al Shammari.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Haddad praised the efforts exerted by the committee in discussing the draft law of the budget of 2019, expressing the hope that the budget will come out in a way that satisfies most parties, as well as the Iraqi government and people.
He recommended that the committee pay the financial dues to the families of the martyrs, Anfal and political prisoners, and take them into consideration and increase their allocations to the extent possible to the importance of this segment, which gave the lives of their sons in defense of Iraq.
He stressed the support of the health and education sectors in the budget of the two vital sectors currently and their direct impact on the lives of citizens, and stressed the need to find a solution to the subject of employees contracts and wages in all the state institutions and create job opportunities for the unemployed and support the private sector in the budget .
