BAGHDAD / An official source in the Dhi Qar provincial council said on Monday that the council is holding an emergency session to discuss the demands of the demonstrators.
The source told "Iraq News" that "the Council is holding an emergency meeting today to discuss the demands of the demonstrators and work to implement them in coordination with the central government."
The source stressed that "the demands of the demonstrators focused on poor services and deterioration of the reality of electricity and widespread unemployment among young people in the province and the dismissal of corrupt managers."
