Iraq will spend $ 720 million on the British loan in 2018, an official source said on Friday.
The source told "Economy News" that "the government borrowed in a previous period from the British Export Bank to develop infrastructure," noting that "the Bank of British exports will spend this year $ 720 million."
He added that "the amount will be distributed to the Ministry of Business, Housing and Municipalities $ 160 million divided into $ 80 million water desalination project for the province of Basra and $ 80 million for the project Hilla streams."
He stressed that "560 million dollars will go to the Ministry of Electricity and divided into 400 million dollars for the power plants of Nasiriyah and Samawah and $ 160 million for the project to transfer energy with GE ."
