Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jubouri called on Tuesday not to hasten to talk about the new Mosul incident.
Jubouri said during the meeting today, "The House of Representatives believes that talking about the new Mosul incident does not mean at all to reduce the effort of our forces and great achievements in the liberation," calling on the Minister of Defense to "talk about the details of the incident."
He added that "the Presidency of the Parliament sets principles and positions related to the incident and is listening to the report of the committees of security, defense and human rights, and in the presence of the Ministers of Defense and Interior and the representative of the anti-terrorism apparatus."
He called on the Speaker of the Parliament, "not to hasten to talk about the details of the incident, and leave it to the specialized bodies, particularly the parliamentary committee formed in this regard, which will depend on fact-finding."
