The Baghdad Operations Command announced Wednesday the reopening of a number of main streets on the Karkh side of the capital.
The commander of operations, Major General Jalil al-Rubaie said in an interview with Alsumaria News that "was started this morning to reopen a number of important streets on the side of Karkh from the capital Baghdad," noting that "the movement of cars returned to normal in these streets."
Al-Rubaie added that "the reopening of Al-Sidiyya Street on the side of Al-Siddiq Mosque and the reopening of the street of the Information Police Station closed since 2007," pointing out that "the reopening of the Doctors Street in the neighborhood of Jihad."
The Baghdad Operations Command has decided to lift several security controls deployed in the streets of the capital, in addition to the reopening of roads, which have been closed for years after the improvement of the security situation in Baghdad and to reduce the traffic momentum in the streets of the capital.
