The Minister of Planning and Trade, Salman Jumaili, headed Wednesday a high-level government delegation to Saudi Arabia as part of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council.
Al-Jumaili said in a statement to the media, including the economy news, that the delegation accompanying the minister included the head of the National Investment Authority and the agents of the ministries of trade and higher education and agriculture, as well as the head of the border crossings and the head of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, adding that the delegation also includes the Director General of the Commission General of Customs and Director General of Sector Planning Department of the Ministry of Planning and Director General of Cultural Relations in the Ministry of Culture and Head of the Legal Department of the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers and the representative of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society.
He explained that the visit aims to enhance trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council.
Al-Jumaili added that the delegation will discuss opening the prospects of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries in the framework of strengthening bilateral relations as well as signing memorandums of understanding in a number of fields.
