Minister of Commerce Dr. Mohammad Hashim Al-Ani discussed with Iranian Ambassador in Baghdad Irj Musjdi bilateral relations and ways of developing them, which enhance relations between the two countries and increase the volume of trade exchange to advanced levelsThe minister said that the relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are well developed and have an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual understanding in light of the desire of the two countries to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries and to invest in Iraqi national products.
He said that the ministry is prepared to cooperate at the highest levels with Iran by tackling the problems and setting up mechanisms for trade exchange by urging the private sector to establish real partnerships with Iran's counterpart and the participation of Iranian companies in investing in different regions of the country.
He pointed out that the visit of the President of the Republic to Tehran achieved positive results through the agreement to increase the volume of trade exchange and to find new mechanisms for bilateral agreements taking into account taking advantage of developments in the Islamic Republic, especially in the industrial and agricultural fields and the need to benefit from the experiences of the private sector in Iran in the field of Agriculture and food products.
For his part, the Iranian ambassador in Baghdad, Iraj Masjidi, said that the level of relations between the two countries has reached advanced stages in all fields and this was achieved only with the cooperation of both sides and insist on developing relations and increasing the volume of trade exchanges.
He added that a large Iranian economic delegation will participate in the conference which will be held in the province of Basra at the middle of this month, headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade and the aim of forging real partnerships and supporting the rehabilitation and building of Basra through investment and partnership with the Iraqi private sector. Soon and this contributes to the conclusion of agreements with Iraqi businessmen.
The President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Saleh, visited the head of a ministerial delegation of the High Islamic Republic recently and talked about the objectives and common interests between the two countries, stressing the need to strengthen mechanisms for development of cooperation in various fields.
