The official revealed the Kurdish file in the National Alliance, Abdullah al-Zaidi, on Sunday, the items of a solution to the outstanding issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan region, which will be presented to the Kurdish delegation negotiating tonight evening during their upcoming meeting.
"After the meeting last Wednesday between the National Alliance and the Kurdish negotiating delegation, the two parties agreed to hold a meeting this evening to provide each party with a solution paper for the outstanding problems between Baghdad and Erbil," Zaidi said in an exclusive interview with Baghdad today.
He added that "the paper to be submitted will be studied by both parties, to find out the possibility of applying them and finding solutions to them, to merge into a single paper to be a roadmap in the next phase."
He explained that "the paper of the National Alliance, including solutions to the issue of oil, and the possibility of exporting through the national company Sumo, instead of acting unilaterally by Kurdistan, and the paper also included the issue of imports of border crossings and the application of tariff customs."
He added that "the paper also included the salaries of the Peshmerga, and its entry into the disputed areas, in addition to the issue of foreign policy of the province and their compatibility with the foreign policy of the federal government, as well as some other issues.
He stressed that "the coalition paper is free of the referendum issue, because the National Alliance considers talking about the referendum outside, scope and constitutional space," noting that "the coalition rejects the original idea of the referendum without constitutional cover and legal."
