The Ministry of Oil, on Sunday, continued to hold talks with companies to implement the project "South Integrated", stressing that the aim of the development of oil fields.
"The ministry is in talks with several companies, including ExxonMobil, to implement a major project called the Integrated South Project," spokesman Assem Jihad said in a press statement.
Jihad said that "the ministry has made a great deal of agreements with ExxonMobil to implement the project."
He said that "this project includes the development of a number of fields as well as the development of Iraqi oil exports."
"The project will generate high revenues and finance itself," he said, adding that "it includes building housing complexes and developing services."
