Parliament staff sit-in protest at pay cuts

Sit a large number of House staff, on Monday morning, inside the courtyard of the council to protest against the reduction of their salaries, within the government and parliament the reform measures to reduce expenditure and the status of austerity in the country. One of the protesters told all of Iraq [where] "We have been working for a long time spans for hours and sometimes even in public holidays and after he became salary reduced significantly does not fit with this consistently."
The protesters demanded the presidency of the House of Representatives not to cut salaries. The Council of Ministers decided in its meeting on 21 July to reduce senior positions and the three presidencies and their deputies' salaries by 50% while reducing their allocations and the reduction of staff in all functional addresses in the three presidencies, bodies and departments associated allocations.
It is said that the first package of government reforms and approved by the parliament last week included the abolition of differences in salaries through reform of salaries and allowances system, and introduce a new system through Chehr.anthy 14  SOURCE
