Qatar's Ministry of Economy and Trade announced that it would like the Qatari product to enter the Iraqi market during the coming period.
"We are working on opening up new markets such as Iraq, some African countries, Asian countries and the Americas," Qatari Economy and Trade Minister Ahmed bin Jassem al-Thani said in an interview published in the Qatari daily Al-Sharq.
He added that "the ministry has continued to work on opening new channels with brotherly and friendly countries in order to accelerate the supply of goods and products to the local market while diversifying its geographical distribution and geopolitical extension to reduce risk rates."
He pointed out that "the ministry has entered into bilateral economic and trade partnership agreements with Turkil and multilateral agreements such as the Agreement on Facilitating the Transport and Transit of Goods between Qatar, Turkey and Iran."
