The Iraqi General Company for Cement announced on Monday the reduction of cement prices to all areas liberated and affected by terrorist operations in support of them to actively contribute to reconstruction and encourage the return of displaced persons to their homes .
"The reduction of prices includes the cement produced in the cement plant of Al-Alil Cement for the production of ordinary cement in Nineveh province after the approval of the board of directors, which was unanimously in support of our liberated provinces," said Hussein Mohsen al-Khafaji, director general of the Iraqi Cement Company .
He added that the value of the reduction is (5000) dinars of the price per ton and includes all the beneficiaries and the price of tons (63000) thousand dinars per ton and (65000) dinars per tonne .
He explained that this price is in the lab, the lowest price reached by cement since 2003 to date, where the price does not exceed more than (3250) thousand dinars per bag, despite the rise in production costs due to increased prices of black oil .
Al-Khafaji added that the company seeks all its manpower and its own capabilities to reduce the cost of production to deliver cement to Iraqi citizens with the best types and the most suitable prices .
He pointed out that the company in cooperation with the private sector factories continue to cover the country's need for local cement, which exceeds foreign cement quality and subsidized prices for the liberated provinces of citizens and companies and state institutions .
