The Central Bureau of Statistics announced on Thursday the increase in the production of live meat and table eggs in Iraq for 2017.
"Iraq's total production of live meat was estimated at 96.1 tonnes for 2017, an increase of 10.5 percent over 2016, with 87.0 tonnes for the provinces covered," the ministry said in a statistical report.
"Iraq's total production of table eggs was estimated at 729.9 million eggs for the year 2017, an increase of 2.7 percent from the production in 2016, where 710.8 million eggs for the provinces covered."
The agency noted that "the census did not include the Kurdistan region in addition to the provinces of Nineveh and Anbar because of the security situation."
