The Minister of Transport, Engineer Abdullah Laibi, announced on Sunday the arrival of the humpback ship to the Belgian port of Antwerp carrying 15765 tons of various cargoes from the port of Umm Qasr. He pointed out that the vessels of Iraq are now ready to reach all ports of the world after being banned over Thirty years ago because of international sanctions and the non-compliance of Iraqi ships to international safety measures for the requirements of the European Union and international maritime organizations.
He added that the arrival of the humpback ship to the European ports came after the Ministry of Transport and the General Company for Maritime Transport and by belonging to the French Classification Authority obtained all certificates for international maritime safety procedures.
For his part, the Director General of Maritime Transport Engineer Abdulkarim Kanhal Al-Jabri: that the Iraqi ships are ready to sail in all international maritime shipping lines according to Maja in a recent Paris memorandum.
Al-Jabri pointed out that the facilities provided by the Ministry of Transport were the main reason for the General Company for Maritime Transport to obtain all international maritime permits and access to all the world's supplies.
