The Minister of Trade, Dr. Mohammad Hashim Al-Ani, during his meeting with the Japanese ambassador in his office today, stressed the depth of the distinguished friendship between Iraq and Japan and ways to strengthen economic and trade relations between them and increase their size.
Stressing the keenness and readiness of the Iraqi government to cooperate with the Japanese side and in various economic, commercial, industrial and investment fields to attract Japanese companies to work in Iraq, which enjoys the confidence of the Iraqi people distinguished by their production.
Pointing out the need to sign a joint memorandum of understanding for the future and increase investment flows to the Iraqi market, especially that Iraq has promising investment opportunities and at various levels in the areas of construction, reconstruction, infrastructure and energy.
For his part, the Japanese ambassador in Baghdad, the need to strengthen the scope of economic cooperation, investment and trade during the next phase.
He pointed out that Tokyo and Baghdad have bilateral relations as distinct as the deepest relationship to the region. This relationship can be translated into projects of economic cooperation in various fields and benefit from the vast Japanese economic experiences offered by the Iraqi market.
