"Iraq is looking forward to increasing trade exchange, activating economic and trade relations with Russia and opening new horizons based on the interests of both countries and peoples," the minister said.
He added that "our relations with Russia long and rooted and aspire to develop and grow through the activation of bilateral agreements and hold a meeting of the Iraqi Iraqi Russian to take its role in the preparation of a new roadmap to establish advanced relations in various fields."
The minister said: "Iraq's desire to supply Russian wheat through the entry into tenders, which the Ministry of the Ministry and submit bids for Russian companies to study and the possibility of agreement with them."
He pointed out that "the ministry will send a delegation to Russia, to see the mechanisms of wheat production and visit the processing plants, for the purpose of drawing a picture of its qualities and quality and suitability for processing within the ration card items."
The minister stressed that "Iraq has returned strongly to exercise its regional and international role after the victory over terrorist organizations."
For his part, the Russian ambassador expressed his happiness for the progress witnessed in the bilateral relations between the two countries, expressing his government's desire to enhance bilateral relations in all fields and develop economic cooperation, and the desire of Russian companies to work in Iraq and participate in the process of construction and reconstruction and establish genuine partnerships with the Iraqi private sector.
The Russian ambassador stressed "his country's support for Iraq in all fields," noting that "Iraq proved its ability to overcome the stage of terrorism and victory over terrorist groups."
