The Ministry of Commerce on Thursday discussed with New Zealand Ambassador to Iraq Bradley Sooden ways to develop economic and trade relations between the two countries.
"The Department of Foreign Economic Relations in the Ministry of Commerce discussed with the New Zealand Ambassador to Iraq (Bradley Sooden) ways to develop economic and trade relations and the entry of New Zealand goods to Iraq as well as outstanding issues between the two friendly countries," the ministry said in a statement.
"During the meeting, the New Zealand companies were also invited to participate in the upcoming Baghdad exhibition, which will be held in October, through the use of the free space provided by the Iraqi Exhibitions Company for Embassies," said Adel Al Masoudi, Director General of Foreign Economic Relations Department.
He pointed out that "these companies have participation in all sessions of the Baghdad International Fair, which was established before 1990 and did not participate in subsequent sessions."
