Twilight News / gathering of thousands of citizens and activists in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad to protest against corruption and poor services and support government reforms.

Activists said the Twilight News, said the demonstration today massive and unprecedented because of the large numbers that poured on the scene to call for the provision of services and reform the judiciary, fight corruption and make the corrupt to justice.
They noted that the number of protesters is the largest since the start of the wave of protests about a month ago.

The cleric Moqtada al-Sadr has called on his supporters a few days ago to participate in the protests taking place in the capital Baghdad on Friday.

Said Salah al-Obeidi, Sadr's spokesman in a televised speech in the city of Najaf that everyone, especially supporters of the Sadrist movement to participate in the protests.

The Baghdad and several cities in the south have seen demonstrations in recent weeks calling for government reforms to make the provision of basic services and the prosecution of corrupt politicians, prompting Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to launch a major reform campaign earlier this month.   source
