Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi on Tuesday congratulated the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr on the victory of the alliance of "Sawsan" and won the first place in the electoral lists.
"Sadr received a telephone call from Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi today, congratulating him on conducting the electoral process in a secure democratic atmosphere," Sadr's Information Office said in a statement received by Mawazine News.
The Prime Minister, according to the statement, "congratulated the victory of the Alliance and the achievement of the first place in the electoral lists competing in the parliamentary elections of 2018."
