Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Finance Minister in Washington , 20 October the first 2019 delegation of the Republic of Iraq, which included many of the consultants and general managers as well as Iraq 's ambassador in Washington, at the annual meeting of the Round Table on Iraq Bank and the International Monetary Fund and representatives from the United States and the United Kingdom Germany, France, Japan and Saudi Arabia .
Mr. Fouad Hussein delivered the speech in which he pointed out that the Iraqi government is determined to continue reforms and overcome economic and institutional challenges and is determined to create an effective and efficient private sector that can contribute to national development and create jobs for young people and contribute to the diversification of the economy .

The Deputy Prime Minister signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the World Bank outlining the framework of future cooperation between the two sides and will be the basis for a long-term partnership agreement .
The memorandum refers to cooperation in implementing reforms in the financial sector, economic governance and reforms in making the business and investment environment favorable and attractive to local and international investors .
And cooperation on the implementation of reforms to develop the agricultural sector and food industries (the introduction of modern technology to facilitate access to global markets and facilitate access to bank financing )

Developing governance in the field of regulating the gas sector ( policies, planning and regulation ) and regulating the work of the private sector in this sector
In the electricity sector : Improving financial sustainability through regulation of wage collection and regulations to protect consumers from the poor .
The government will form a ministerial committee from the economic sector to oversee the implementation of the reforms stipulated in the memorandum of understanding
