India's oil minister, Darmendra Pradhan, said Iraq had been able to displace Saudi Arabia and become the largest oil supplier to India during the current period.
"Iraq has displaced Saudi Arabia, become the largest oil supplier and meets more than one-fifth of India's oil needs in the current fiscal year," Bradhan said in a statement.
"Iraq exports 38.9 million barrels to India," he said.
