The media office of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced on Thursday the opening of an investigation with political parties.
Abadi's office said in a statement that the latter directed an immediate investigation into files of corruption related to the allegations of the offer or sale of fictitious employment contracts to citizens, by political parties.
He added that "these grades do not have financial allocations in the budget and does not exist originally to achieve an electoral gain is illegal."
It is noteworthy that Abadi warned in the previous weekly conference political parties "not named" to make promises to citizens to appoint, in return for their election.
