
TEHRAN, Aug. 24 (MNA) – About 27,500 tons of standard goods were exported to Iraq through Mehran border point during the first five months of the Iranian calendar year, an official in the western Iranian province announced Monday.
Head of Standard Office of Mehran in Ilam province, Jafar Farhad-Beigi announced that foodstuff and building stones and bricks were among major exported items during the period. He underlined that 29 cases of inspection and sampling of production units as well as 99 cases of inspection and sampling of distribution centers in the city of Mehran are among measures taken by standard representation at Mehran border customs. Located in southwest of Ilam Province, Mehran International Border is the most important center to export goods to Iraq from Iran.
