The governor of the General Authority for Investment in Saudi Arabia Ibrahim Al-Omar said Tuesday that the new port of Arar border between Iraq and Saudi Arabia will be launched in the next ten months.
"The businessmen have a great opportunity, especially that Arar is considered the gateway to Iraq, as Iraq has reconstruction projects and investment opportunities in it," Al-Omar said in a statement to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadh.
Al-Omar added that "the project to improve the new port of Arar Saudi Arabia and Iraq has been awarded. Within ten months, work will be launched through the two ports."
He pointed out that "the challenge before the Commission today is how to bring investments to the region," stressing that "the coming period a promising period to settle the industry and bring investors to the region."
