Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, met His Excellency the President of the Republic Fuad Masum at the latter’s office in Baghdad on Monday, 10/8/2015. His eminence discussed with President Masum the governmental and parliamentarian reform document, insisting on moving forward with the reform of institutions and the decrease of expenses and salaries of officials. He reiterated as well the citizen bloc’s support to Al Abadi’s government and to the reforms demanded by the wise religious authority. His eminence called the political and societal forces to support the reform process and urged the government at the same time to respond to the demonstrator’s legitimate demands and launch a global campaign to face the financial and administrative corruption and the corruptors.
