The director general of retirement and social security Ali Jaafar al-Hilo said on Sunday that the entitlements of retired Egyptians in Iraq are not a legacy, but are only the right of the widow and minor children.
"The visit of the Iraqi delegation to Egypt comes to overcome the obstacles facing the transfer of entitlements to the retired Egyptians," Helou said during a press conference at the Ministry of Manpower in Cairo.
He appealed to the Egyptians, who have dues for their work in the Iraqi government sector or private, to "come forward with documents proving that," stressing that "whoever makes his papers does not mean that he has dues already, but will be studied first."
On the other hand, he said that "the number of beneficiaries in the private sector amounted to 398 people, has been transferred more than $ 3.2 million so far to them, while the number of retirees in the government sector 250 retirees."
