The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will participate in the 108th session of the International Labor Conference, to be held in Geneva, Switzerland, with a government delegation
(Governments, employers and workers) for the period from 10-21 June 2019. The session includes the discussion of the report on the elimination of violence and harassment in the world of work, the report of the Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations, as well as the discussion on the ILO's centennial, which is included in the final document of the Conference. The session coincides with the 100th anniversary of the International Labor Organization (ILO), and will be attended by a number of state and government ministers. The Minister of Labor, Dr. Bassem Abdel-Zaman, will arrive with a government delegation to Geneva on 17-6-2019 to participate in the conference. On the occasion of the centennial of the International Labor Organization, which will include the most important steps taken by the Ministry towards sustainable social development and the creation of a healthy social environment to eliminate unemployment, alleviate poverty and provide a decent work environment by seeking to support the private sector.
